  • The Dark Side of Home Ownership

My house gave me a “romantic” Valentines day gift by alerting me to home repair issues that has monopolized much of my time since then. I called some contractors to get estimates and they quoted sky high prices for what I thought I could do myself, and so I did and am working on now.

First my computer, now my house. Life is keeping me busy in areas I had no desire to, haha.

I’m taking a break now to see if I can put thought to paper in a timely manner to crank out a few blogs.

  • That is the one downside I am not looking forward to when we do eventually buy a house. The repairs are on you, and the prices can be hefty. Best of luck with getting everything fixed!

  • You definitely have it busy. I don’t live in a house but I can imagine the work required to upkeep one. I hope everything is alright :)

  • @firetyger - Thanks! It’s a downside alright – especially the pricy repairs, but you will LOVE the upside of more privacy and control over your living space and  surrounding area.

@Tooty_fruits - Definitely better now, thanks! Yeah, sometimes I miss just having to call the super to report a problem, but the extra space and privacy/surroundings make up for it.
