@kittyluve reminded me that non science/technical majors may not be familiar with the Fibonacci Sequence and what it means or its significance.

my sister did a report on fibonacci numbers in elementary school and that always stuck with me, even though i never studied it in school myself.
As a mathematician and former math teacher, I find this incredibly entertaining.
Wow, 8-13-21 is a long ways off! That’s the last one any of our generation will ever see though, the one after being January 1, 3002!!! [1-1-2], seeing as how there is no 13th month.

I was looking at this info about 2 weeks ago, and looking into it, related info I found were fractals. This led to some interesting speculation about parallel universes. It’s amazing that this is in so many things, our DNA, spiral galaxies, sea shells, plant life, sea life, from the smallest to the largest, all a design. It’s brilliant in its simplicity & awesome in its scope. What a work of art.

Aww! We missed it! (My fiance` was saddened.) But there’s another one (or three) in our life times.
Cool. But there’s no 13th month and after that the numbers keep getting larger. Does that mean the next time it happens after 8/13/21 isn’t until January 1st, 2102, considering how you were only using the last two digits of the year?
@SarahakaHungry - The relationship of those numbers to so many things in the natural world including ourselves is pretty amazing!
@secretbeerreporter - Since most other countries use the day, month, year format, their day to celebrate will be Aug 5. =)

@naughty_virgin - We’ll have potentially 2 more if we include the Global dating format of DD,MM,YY – Aug 5, 13 (Global), and August 13, 21 (American). After that it’s the long ride ’till 2102.
