Every Beginning has an End – My Final Post on “Xanga 1.0″

Since I’ve upgraded to “premium” with my credits, that should allow me some time to check out “2.0″ for a little while anyway, IF it happens.
Will the pledge drive succeed for “2.0″? We have no direct updates since July 8 (
) so it’s still in the air, but the fact that it’s been reported that they are working on 2.0 now and feel confident they will reach their goal makes me think the new version will get the green light. I guess all will be revealed at the end of the month.How and if this happens and how “smooth” the changeover will be is anybody’s guess. Since a mass message never went out, the biggest surprise will be for the folks who still don’t know about the pending changes.
Regardless of what happens with Xanga 2.0, I have to say I enjoyed Xanga 1.0 and the friends I’ve made here. Thanks to all my subs and friends for reading my economic snoozers and my documented efforts to succeed at trading for a living.

Lucky for you having enough credits to upgrade. There is no way I am going to pay 48 bucks for something I can get for free elsewhere. I’ll see you in WP then I guess.
Seems like Xanga is starting to fall apart already. I think it deserved a better end than this.

@beowulf222 - We still have no idea if there’s even going to be an “upgrade”. These continued “news blackouts” are so bad that by now their comical.@coolmonkey - Yeah, views, Top Blogs, Recs, all went haywire – you can almost envision the Roman columns starting to crumble and fall apart…@RealistMe - I visit but I can’t comment – you need to figure out how to allow non user comments. =) I see some users have that feature turned on to allow outside comments.
@SoullFire - If you had a facebook account, you could sign in with it and comment. I’ll have to ask the users, when I sign into Blogster.
@coolmonkey - the fact that the xanga team STILL has not sent out a message or posted something is disappointing me, and i RARELY complains about xanga.
